Data Recovery Software for Windows
Data Recovery Software for Windows
RecoverIQ helps you scan supported storage on your Windows PC, preview recoverable files, and restore them locally to a different drive.
Can deleted files be recovered?
Sometimes. Recovery depends on whether deleted data blocks were overwritten, filesystem metadata still exists, and whether the storage uses SSD TRIM that erases deleted sectors quickly. RecoverIQ shows confidence signals but cannot guarantee results.
Windows data recovery
RecoverIQ runs on Windows and scans supported NTFS, FAT32, and carved file types from accessible block devices and images.
Safe recovery practices
- Stop writing to the source device immediately after data loss
- Do not install software onto the affected drive
- Recover to a different physical destination
- Understand SSD TRIM may prevent recovery on solid-state drives
Common questions
Can RecoverIQ recover permanently deleted files?
Recovery depends on whether storage blocks still contain the deleted data. Files may be recoverable when filesystem metadata or file signatures remain intact and the space has not been overwritten. Recovery is not guaranteed.
Can I scan before paying?
Yes. RecoverIQ includes a free scan and preview workflow. You can review recoverable items before purchasing a paid plan to recover beyond the free allowance.
Does RecoverIQ upload my recovered files?
No. Recovery processing runs locally on your computer by default. The cloud service handles accounts, licensing, and billing — not your recovered file contents.
Can deleted SSD files always be recovered?
Not always. SSDs use TRIM and garbage collection that can erase deleted blocks quickly. RecoverIQ may still find recoverable data in some cases, but SSD recovery success is often lower than traditional hard drives.
